Who am I?
Leonardas Pilkauskas is a talented saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist, as well as a composer, orchestrator-arranger, and educator. Since 2006, he has been actively involved in the jazz music scene. He completed his bachelor’s studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (2010) and his master’s studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory (2012). Since 2012, he has been living in Lithuania.
Leonardas works in orchestration with various projects, such as JJA Music, Martynas Levickis, and Martynas Kavaliauskas, as well as with big bands and wind orchestras. He is also an active educator at the Modern School Center and participates in jazz groups like JJazz Ensemble and Birthday Septet, as well as pop music projects.
His works include the albums “How Deep Is Her Voice” (2022) and “And The Sun Will Shine When I’ll See You Again” (2023). He is currently preparing to release his latest album, recorded in July 2024 in Antwerp, Belgium, which is set to come out in the last quarter of 2024.
